The title 109,440bpm reflects the total heartbeats in a day for an average adult. The work intends to pass messages of the fragility of the human body; how the human body decays, reforms, grows and regenerates. It also focuses on Alzheimer’s disease. The video work 109,440bpm is displayed in a 40” TV and features music I made in Garage Band. It aims to create an object beating like the human heart, but abstract, beating and moving in its grief. Also, there are clips of an Augmented Reality liquid particle flowing. Through distortion, deformation, etc. to simulate biological growth trajectory, generate virtual living being, cells, body organs growing in the digital environment, think about their reproduction, survival and evolution process, interpret their mysterious charm and beauty through the digital way, and feel the attraction brought to us by life.
