Three year journey is a series of two mixed media paintings that visually conveys my development as an individual throughout my time studying at the University of South Australia. The first piece portrays images, thoughts and significant aspects of my life prior to attending university, while the second piece focuses on my life as a student over the course of my degree. I have drawn inspiration from the post internet movement, researching and incorporating new methods of art production, specifically researching the use of flatbed printers, in addition to my preferred application of mixed media painting. Through practising new methods of art, I have expressed not only my visual development but also the personal gains achieved throughout my studies. It is this three-year journey which has led to this moment in time.
