This collection of works is comprised of a series of blown glass vessels drawn from the Murano Sommerso style. These objects reflect the artist’s experiences growing up as a red-haired male within the Australian context, drawing their designs from three slurs/nicknames which have been applied to him. Through the exploration of these themes, the work aims to facilitate conversation around broader issues of stereotyping and labelling which remain present within our society today.
