The illustrated city is a series of works that uses Venice as its focus, exploring the relationships between linguistic and visual representations of the world through art. From drawing and painting, Canaletto’s use of the camera obscura, photography, the writing of Italo Calvino and AI generations, the series examines how humanity’s collective visual language and perception interacts with our written language.
