Battles and Blessings, You’re Not Alone is part of a series of paintings representing biblical scripture. Thoughts, feelings, experiences, my relationship with God, challenges, love and loss are revealed and come to visual life. Images are compositionally and conceptually layered to encourage exploration and reflection. Experimenting with expanded painting practices, drawing acrylics, mixed media collage and assemblage of found objects, alongside a commitment to using sustainable, non-traditional materials and processes not associated with painting, is a large part of my art practice.
